MEPC has a leading position in China in the field of blast furnace refractory design, supply and engineering on an overall basis, and capable of implementing all types of works related to refractory for existing and new blast furnaces.

MEPC has advanced proprietary technology, wide experience and good reference in design, supply and engineering of blast furnace refractory, like carbon bricks and corundum bricks (or called ceramic cup) that are installed in the BF hearth zone.

MEPC has stake-holding in four refractory manufacturing companies whose products are sold in 29 provinces and autonomous regions of the domestic market, and exported to more than 10 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe.

Refractory lining bricks, exported by MEPC, have been installed in more than 1000 blast furnaces of size 200-4100m3. Service life of hot metal torpedo cars lined with compound refractory lining bricks, supplied by MEPC, have attained more than 1000 heats on an average.
