GAS HOLDER

Gas holder is a large container where industrial gas or town gas is stored near atmospheric pressure at ambient temperatures, which is widely used in steel plants to store blast furnace gas, coke oven gas and converter gas etc. It can stabilize pipe network pressure so as to keep system stable and balanced. In case the gas system of a plant fails, the gas holder gas can be used to supplement the pipe network and secure the system. Following are the main types of gas holders.

WIGGINS TYPE GASHOLDER

● Typical dry seal type gas holder without any liquid medium
● Sealed by rubber membrane
● Big volume of gas inflow and outflow in a certain time
● Suitable to store converter gas with high dust content
● Capacity range: 3000m3-80,000 m3

M.A.N. TYPE GASHOLDER

● One type of dry gas holder with oil sealing system
● With the form of polygon shape
● Good gas tightness, stable pressure
● The steel consumption and comprehensive cost is low
● Suitable to store coke oven gas and blast furnace gas
● Capacity range:20,000 m3-300,000 m3
